Or…you may find yourself about to embark two days hence on to your next chapter in life, i.e., your long awaited move to Italy, several modes of transportation duly booked, interim housing secured awaiting our rogito, or Italian house closing, which is to take place in Rome, only to receive an email that the steps leading up to our apartment are not included in the sale and several somewhat confusing options are offered but now the rogito may need to be pushed out. Wait! Whaaaaaat?!?

So much for readying to move abroad leaving stress behind and at a leisurely pace. Hahaha.

And yet, here we are!

Post job loss. Post surgery. Post divestment of, well, probably 75% of every and anything we owned. Bye-bye car and couch and bed and skis and on and on. Helloooo new adventures!

When we arrived here to the desert we were, in the neighborhood anyway, of completely strung out. Touchy, stressed, ready to strangle one another at the slightest provocation. This has eased greatly the past few weeks and now, with mere days before our departure and loooong lists of tasks to complete prior to departure, it is more a great anticipation than a cumbersome stress and we delight in crossing tasks off the list.

Hope to share more in the coming days! (With the exception of leaving my mom behind, getting really excited!!!)
