The First Artichoke

With all apologies to Mr. Swift, the same might be said for an artichoke.

The thorny spines, the seemingly inedible leaves, the hairy choke and the solid base all conspire to leave the cook dubious, at best, regarding its’ edibility.

Some percieve travel as an artichoke. Unwieldy, frought with problems, diffucult from which to extract any nourishment or pleasure.

In our experience, it’s worth every effort. Travel opens the mind, It changes and widens perspective and helps to shed preconcieved notions about life and culture.

And much like eating an artichoke, it’s actually fun and delicious once accustomed to.

So here’s to the mind bending benefits of travel.!
